Upgraded Gala for 2012
We are upscaling the entertainment at the Gala Evening with Willy Chirino, who is recognized throughout the world as the creator of the Miami Sound, a unique fusion of Cuban music, rock, jazz, Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms. The Gala will once again feature a plated-sit down dinner, and while all table reservations will be made onsite, attendees will need to confirm their attendance by March 2 so that we can plan for appropriate seating and food quantities. Please click here to view a You Tube video of Willy Chirino’s song “Pa’lante.”
Advertising opportunities available for 2012
IAADFS members have several opportunities to increase awareness about their companies and brands through advertising in official IAADFS publiations, including the Exhibitor and Membership Guide, Show Diary, and onsite Show News daily magazine. Important notice about Expo Guide / Fair Guide
It has come to our attention that members have been receiving solicitations from Expo Guide (headquartered in Mexico) and Fair Guide (headquartered in Slovakia). These solicitations ask the member to confirm basic information about their company for an online listing and includes a signature line that binds the member company to a multi-year paid listing at a significant cost. Please note that Expo Guide and Fair Guide are in no way affiliated with IAADFS, the Duty Free Show of the Americas, our annual Exhibitor and Membership Guide, or our annual Show Diary, nor have we given any endorsement of their online listing service. Furthermore, the use of our association name and show name has been made without our authorization. We urge our members to be cautious when receiving such solicitations and we encourage members to contact our office when receiving these types of solicitations from unfamiliar sources, especially if the solicitation mentions any type of paid listing that is allegedly associated with our annual show. In the future if you have any questions about whether a company’s products or services are authorized or endorsed by IAADFS we ask that you contact our office for consultation before responding to any solicitation.
Notice about GHM Travel:
We have recently become aware of a company called GHM Travel who has been contacting our members calling on behalf of IAADFS and requesting that our attendees book their rooms at the Orlando World Center Marriott through them. We did not authorize their use of our name nor did we request that they contact participants of the Duty Free Show of the Americas. We always urge caution with solicitations. In the booking agreement from GHM Travel, the cancellation policy is more restrictive than our own and they will not refund you for your payment. Please contact our office should you receive any notice such as this one.
